What should know and be able to 4 year old child .

This article is intended for your information and gives approximate norms degree of development of mental processes of your child at this age. You can check out its potential in different fields of knowledge , to find out which areas of knowledge your child is doing well and where it needs additional attention and time.

Mathematics

A child between the ages of 4 to 5 years should be able to:

1. The child must be able to determine the location of objects: right, left , middle, top, bottom , rear and front.

2 . The child should know the basic geometric shapes (circle, oval, square , triangle and rectangle)

3 . The child must know all the numbers (0 , 1, 2 , 3, 4 , 5, 6, 7 , 8, 9). Read the items within ten correlate with the number of items desired number.

4 . The child should be able to arrange the numbers 1 to 5 in the correct sequence and in reverse order.

5 . The child must be able to compare the number of subjects to understand the meaning : more – less equally. Do equal unequal groups of subjects : one thing to add to the group with fewer items.

A child between the ages of 4 to 5 years should be able to:

1. The child should be able to find differences and similarities between the two pictures ( or between two toys ) .

2 . The child should be able to put on the model built from the designer.

3 . The child should be able to fold the cut image of 2-4 parts.

4 . The child should be able to without distraction, for 5 minutes to perform the task .

5 . The child should be able to put a pyramid ( the cup , putting them into each other ) without assistance.

6. The child should be able to put the missing pieces in the hole pictures.

7. The child should be able to call a generalized word group of objects ( cow , horse, goat , pets , winter, summer , spring – time of the year). Finding an extra subject in each group. Finding a pair of each subject.

8. The child should be able to answer questions such as : Can the summer sledding ? Why ? Why wear warm winter jacket ? What are the windows and doors in the house? Etc.

9. The child should be able to pick up the opposite words : a glass full – glass is empty , the tree top – the tree is low, go slow – go fast , narrow belt – a wide belt , a hungry child – the child is well-fed , cold tea – hot tea , etc.

10 . The child must be able to memorize pairs of words after reading an adult : a glass – water, boy – girl , dog – cat , etc.

11. The child should be able to see the picture properly depicted objects , explain what is wrong and why.

Development of Speech

A child between the ages of 4 to 5 years should be able to:

1. The child must use a thousand words to build sentences of 6-8 words . Conceiving a child should even strangers , not just parents .

2 . A child needs to understand the difference between the structure of the human structure of animals, calling them part of the body (hands – paws , nails – nails , hair – wool) .

3 . The child must be able to correctly put the nouns in the plural form (flower – flowers, girl – girl) .

10 . The child should be able to answer questions about the recently occurring events : Where were you today ? Who met on the road ? That my mother bought in the store? What was on you wearing?

Outward things

A child between the ages of 4 to 5 years should be able to:

1. The child must be able to distinguish vegetables , fruits and berries, to know what they are , when mature .

2 . The child should know the names of insects , to be able to talk about how they move (butterfly flying, crawling snail , grasshopper jumps )

3 . The child should know all the pets and their offspring.

4 . The child should be able to guess from the pictures seasons. Know the signs of each of them.

Skills Appliances

A child between the ages of 4 to 5 years should be able to:

3 . The child must be able to accurately draw lines without lifting the pencil from the paper.

English

Children aged between 4 and 5 may be familiar with the English language.
